Paint Over Slate Floor Tiles. It *could* take paint with a good primer, but black squares don't sound like an improvement, to me. Marbles are usually polished further than slate especially tile marble. I feel much more of a black than the graphite that was once packaged in a quart container (pre jan 2019.)

Available color combinations vary from jet black to greens and cross the spectrum to maroons and purple. You will have to either live with it, or, paint over it, again. If you run into partial tiles at the edge of the floor, you can paint over partial sections of the stencil.
