Linoleum Floor Bubbling Up. (2) once the linoleum is warm, remove the towel and using a sharp utility knife, carefully cut an x through the bubble while it is still hot and malleable. Bubbles form under linoleum tiles when air pockets in the tile adhesive are not removed with a hand roller or floor roller during installation. If the vinyl was cut tightly, bubbles can form.

Then use a towel and a hot iron to heat and flatten the vinyl. In your case, i'd remove the baseboards, roll the flooring up against the cabinets, apply the proper adhesive and let the flooring back down. There were a few places where the backing of the linoleum was glued down good, and those areas required the floor scraper.

If the linoleum is layed on cement board or some other type of board, then this board is loose and the seem betwen two sheets is where it is raising up. The flooring must then be rolled with at lest a 75 to 100 pound roller. Atmospheric conditions could cause the problem.
